Ragi Hopper/ Ragi Appam
Ingredients:
Ragi Flour - 2 Cups
Water - 2 Cups
Boiled Rice - 1 Cup
Grated Coconut - 1 Cup
Salt - 1½ Teaspoons
Sugar - 4 Teaspoons
Baking Soda - ¼ Teaspoon
Preparation:
-Mix the two cups of the ragi flour with two cups of water.
- Add the ragi flour batter in the blender, with one cup of boiled rice, one and a half teaspoons of salt, four teaspoons of sugar, one cup of the grated coconut and blend it well.
- The hopper batter is ready now.
5. Ferment the batter for six to seven hours.
6. Add ¼ teaspoon of the baking soda into the fermented ragi batter and mix it well, five minutes before making the hoppers.
7. Take some batter and make the ragi hoppers one by one.
8. The delicious and healthy ragi hoppers are ready to serve.
9. Serve the hot ragi hoppers with vegetable, mushroom or chicken kurma of your choice.
