Sambar Powder

                        Sambar Powder 

Ingredients:

Coriander Seeds                - 10 Tablespoons 

Pepper                                 - 1 Teaspoon 

Dry Red Chillies                 - 15 Nos.

Channa Dhal                      - 4 Tablespoons 

Fenugreek Seeds               - 1 Teaspoon 

Asafoetida                          - 1 Teaspoon (Crushed)

Cumin Seeds                     - 2 Tablespoons 

Curry Leaves                     - 5 Sprigs 

Preparation:

- Take a pan.

- Dry roast the above mentioned ingredients, in a low flame.

- Once cooled, blend all the roasted ingredients.

- Store it in an airtight container.

- To make sambar, you can add two teaspoons of this powder.

Note:

Homemade sambar powder is free of preservatives and pesticides. Besides, it will give your sambar an added aroma and flavour.
