Mushroom Pepper Fry

                    Mushroom Pepper Fry 

Ingredients:

Button Mushrooms             - 250 gms.

Shallots                                  - 50 gms.

Ginger-Garlic Paste             - 1 Teaspoon 

Pepper Powder                    -  1½ Teaspoons 

Mustard                                 - ½ Teaspoon 

Curry Leaves                        - 2 Sprigs

Salt                                          - As Required 

Oil                                           - As Required 

Preparation:

- First, cut the mushrooms into small pieces.

- Then, switch on the stove and take a pan.

- Add the required amount of oil and add the mustard seeds and let it splutter.

- Then, add the curry leaves, the cut shallot pieces and the ginger-garlic paste one after the other. Sauté them well for a minute or two.

- Once the raw smell of the ginger-garlic paste goes off, add the cut mushroom pieces and sauté it well for sometime.

- Now, add the required amount of salt and the pepper powder and sauté it until the masala gets coated well with the mushrooms.

- Simmer the stove and wait for around ten minutes until the mushroom gets cooked.

- Once the mushroom is cooked well, switch off the stove.

- The tasty 'Mushroom Pepper Fry' is ready to serve.

- It is an ideal side dish which could be served with sambhar and rice, rasam and rice or with roti, chapathi, idli or dosa.
