Peanut Chutney
Ingredients:
Peanuts - 100gms.
Red Chillies (Dried) - 4 + 1 Nos.
Garlic - 2 Cloves (Peeled)
Tamarind - Very Little
Cold Pressed Groundnut Oil - 2 Teaspoons
Salt - As Required
Coconut (Grated) - 2 Teaspoons
Mustard - ½ Teaspoon
Urad Dhal - 1 Teaspoon
Curry Leaves - 2 Sprigs
Preparation:
- First, take a pan and add the peanuts to it. Dry roast them for five to seven minutes.
- Now, add the dry red chillies and dry roast it for two minutes. Then, add one teaspoon of cold pressed groundnut oil.
- Add the garlic cloves, tamarind and the grated coconut into the oil, one by one and dry roast it for three minutes.
- Let the roasted ingredients cool for sometime.
- Now, take a blender and and all the dry roasted ingredients into it, along with the required salt.
- Blend all the ingredients together by adding half a cup of water.
- Once done, take a pan. Add one teaspoon of the groundnut oil. Add the mustard seeds and let it splutter. Then, add a teaspoon of urad dal along with two sprigs of curry leaves with one whole dry chilli into it.
- Now, add the tempered items into the blended ingredients.
- The wholesome and delectable 'peanut chutney' is ready to serve along with hot dosas or idlis.
